Ramallah, August 10th, 2021: On October 1-2, BuildPalestine will hold its second annual Summit – a two day event bringing together the Palestinian community to imagine, build, and celebrate, under this year’s theme: “Harnessing Our Collective Power”
2021 has been marked by a renewed sense of unity as Palestinians everywhere have risen up, with younger generations bringing new energy and creativity to this intergenerational struggle. In the face of a global pandemic, a failed political system, occupation and the ongoing project of settler colonialism of Palestine, our people continue to be resilient and find ways to make an impact.
Participants will join 60 speakers and panelists, in more than 20 virtual panels and workshops, with the goal of harnessing our collective power and momentum to take concrete steps towards social and political change that can ultimately fulfil our rights to freedom, justice, and equality. How can Palestinians in the Diaspora and allies support local changemakers at this critical time?
BuildPalestine Board Chair, Besan Abu Joudeh, comments: “Last year, the conversations we had at the Summit were truly authentic. It was a unique space created by Palestinians, for Palestine. I look forward to this year’s Summit and the opportunity to put our minds together in a meaningful and action-oriented way.”
In 2020, BuildPalestine organized its first virtual Summit, which brought together over 740 participants from 50+ countries. This year’s Summit will take place on October 1-2, 2021. All sessions will be simultaneously translated in English and Arabic. Join the 2021 BuildPalestine Summit to connect with a global community and harness our collective power.
