The Social Innovation Bootcamp is a 20 hour intensive bootcamp, run by BuildPalestine and uMake. The two day training uses a human-centered approach and leverages design thinking to guide social entrepreneurs through the stages of ‘inspiration, ideation, and iteration’ focused on the pre-incubation stage.
The bootcamp serves as a space to ideate solutions for challenges discussed during our annual summit. We recently published a report on the main challenges facing the health sector in Palestine following the Health Sector in Palestine: Challenges and opportunities panel at our 2021 Summit. The BuildPalestine team put out a call for solutions and held our first social innovation bootcamp of the year to tackle challenges and realities in the Palestinian health sector.
15 professionals and students from the Palestinian health sector joined the bootcamp to design impactful interventions for the community. The 20 hour bootcamp followed a design thinking methodology to delve into problem identification, brainstorming solutions, prototyping, and iterating.
Participants left with a new found understanding of problems in the sector, and were equipped with the tools to take steps to address them.

يعمل المعسكر التدريبي كمساحة لابتكار حلول للتحديات التي نوقشت خلال مؤتمرنا السنوي. نشرنا مؤخرًا تقريرًا عن التحديات الرئيسية التي تواجه قطاع الصحة في فلسطين، وبذلك عقدنا أول معسكر تدريبي للابتكار الاجتماعي لهذا العام.
انضم 15 مهنيًا وطالبًا من قطاع الصحة الفلسطيني إلى المخيم التدريبي لتصميم تدخلات فعالة للمجتمع. اتبع المخيم التدريبي منهجية التفكير التصميمي للتعمق في تحديد المشكلات وحلول العصف الذهني والنماذج الأولية والتكرار. غادر المشاركون مع فهم جديد وجد للمشاكل في القطاع ، وتم تزويدهم بالأدوات اللازمة لاتخاذ خطوات لمعالجتها.
