A Palestinian-Spanish service designer based in London, Dina Asfour brings a career shaped by social housing, public policy, and systemic design to the world of Palestinian craft. Her professional work improving public services for vulnerable communities gave her a sharp eye for the gaps no one else is filling — and the patience to build toward closing them. She co-creates with artisans, letting their knowledge and input shape every stage of the process.

Tatreez Collective addresses the underutilized potential of Palestinian crafts, whose cultural and economic value is often constrained by gaps in design skills, sustainability practices, and material quality, limiting their competitiveness in global markets. The collective works directly with artisans to combine traditional Tatreez with training in design, materials, and sustainable production, while connecting their work to international audiences through storytelling, research, and ethical market access. By positioning Palestinian crafts around quality rather than charity, Tatreez Collective creates dignified income opportunities, strengthens the global presence of Palestinian craftsmanship, and supports the preservation and evolution of cultural heritage through sustainable, market-driven growth.
