Our flagship program to empower Palestinian social entrepreneurs

Since 2020, BuildPalestine has supported dozens of Palestinian social enterprises working across communities, sectors, and realities throughout Falastin. Over the years, we came to understand that supporting social entrepreneurship in Palestine requires a different approach—one grounded in the realities of restriction, instability, and the constant pressure on communities and civil society.

For us, impact is not only measured by growth in numbers, revenue, or organizational size. Our core indicator of impact is sumud: the ability of initiatives and communities to continue existing, adapting, serving, and creating despite ongoing challenges.

This understanding reshaped our Fellowship into a stage-based support journey built around three interconnected phases: Root, Rise, and Bloom. Together, these phases form a long-term ecosystem of support that combines capacity building, funding, mentorship, and strategic connections to help social enterprises strengthen their sustainability, resilience, and community impact over time.

In this context, growth does not always mean becoming bigger. Often, it means becoming more resilient, more rooted, and more capable of sustaining impact across different communities. It can mean replication instead of centralization, diversification instead of dependency, and building models that allow impact to continue and spread across Falastin even under difficult conditions.
