Rifk Ebeid is an author, attorney, and speech-language pathologist who has worked extensively in human rights advocacy through a number of human rights organizations in the US, Jerusalem, and the UAE. She recently published a cutting-edge and innovative children’s book entitled “Baba, What Does My Name Mean?: A Journey to Palestine,” which was recommended by the panel of judges of the 2020 Palestine Book Awards. Prior to entering university, Rifk spent her formative years as a student of music and her current research interest lies in the role music, art, and other forms of cultural expression play in activism and resistance.

رفق عبيد هي مؤلفة محامية واختصاصية أمراض النطق واللغة. عملت عبيد بشكل كبير في الدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان عبر عدد من منظمات حقوق الإنسان في الولايات المتحدة والقدس والإمارات العربية المتحدة.
نشرت مؤخرًا كتابًا مبتكرًا ومتطورًا للأطفال بعنوان “بابا ، ماذا يعني اسمي؟: رحلة إلى فلسطين” ، أوصت به لجنة الحكام في حفل توزيع جوائز فلسطين للكتاب2020.
قبل الالتحاق بالجامعة ، أمضت عبيد سنواتها السابقة كطالبة للموسيقى حيث يتركز اهتمامها البحثي الحالي, وهو دور وعلاقة الموسيقى والفن وأشكال التعبير الثقافي الأخر بالمقاومة و العمل الناشط.
