1. The ongoing political situation in the region creates a difficult environment for entrepreneurs to operate in. This instability results in an unpredictable business environment, like sudden strikes, road closures which can be difficult for entrepreneurs to navigate.
2. Limited Access to Markets: The restricted movement of goods and people within and outside of Palestine hinders entrepreneurs’ access to regional and international markets.
3. Limited Digital Infrastructure: The lack of digital infrastructure in Palestine hinders the development of online businesses and startups, which rely heavily on digital connectivity.
4. Limited Access to Natural Resources: Access to natural resources, such as water and land, is restricted in the region, which limits the types of businesses that can be developed.
5. Limited Infrastructure: Infrastructure, including transportation and communication networks, is limited in Palestine, which can make it difficult for entrepreneurs to reach customers and suppliers outside of their immediate geographic region.
6. Weak Support Infrastructure: Entrepreneurial support infrastructure in Palestine, including incubators, accelerators, and mentoring programs. Most of support programs are donor dependent, hence, they are not consistent and sustainable. Their services quality is also weak. This results in a lack of resources and knowledge for entrepreneurs to draw from.
7. Poor coordination among key stakeholders in the entrepreneurship sector: Often organizations plan interventions without partnering or consulting with other players, resulting in duplicated work and unnecessary interventions.
